A Week in NYC

Many people ask the question, "how do you get your products in other stores?" Well there are many ways, from someone requesting information via our website, to someone calling in a placing an order. But perhaps the best way is to exhibit at a tradeshow. Tradeshows are for buyers only and are held in large convention centers. One of the largest tradeshows in the New York International Gift Fair (NYIGF) in New York City. It is held twice a year at the Javits Center. So here is a little bit about our experience with tradeshows throughout the years!

Tradeshows are an amazing experience. I remember my first time attending one as a buyer in 2004. There are tons of people, lots of orders being taken and so many sights and sounds to take in. 2005 was the first time I exhibited at the NYIGF and here is a picture of my first booth!

I was so excited to be at my first show! Over the past 5 years, we have exhibited at many shows and they are a ton of fun! Logistically they are always somewhat of a challenge and they are very long days, but in the end, they are well worth it! Here is a photo of our booth at the Expo East 2008, the largest natural and organic tradeshow on the East Coast!

And here is our latest booth at the NYIGF in January 2009. Our first corner booth!

As I said before, they are so exciting! There are lots of people buzzing around, about 30,000 buyers are at this show. You get to catch up with you customers and make new ones. And for me, it allows my dad and I to spend some quality time together, which is always great! We do the shows together and sometimes my mom and fiancee come along too! And if you are lucky, you come home with some awards! Here we are accepting some awards!

But perhaps the most inspiring part of a tradeshow is the passion we all have for our brands. You can see passion in the eyes of the creators, you can see innovation and creativity beyond your imgination and you can see how much we love what we do!

So I ask this: what is your passion? What inspires you? What do you love?
Let me know, I am all ears!
